I recently visited Mother Hubbard’s for some classic fish and chips, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy batter on the outside and tender, flaky fish on the inside. The chips were golden and well-seasoned, just the way they should be. Everything tasted fresh and was served right on time. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, adding to the overall positive experience. If you’re looking for top-quality fish and chips with great service, Mother Hubbard’s is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend.

Visited Sunday afternoon, and we were very impressed with the service and the food. The food was fresh, and the premises were super clean with plenty of seating options. We found parking outside, but there is an Asda car park opposite, which will be handy if you struggle to find parking outside. Aisha was super friendly, and we even tried the jacket potato 🥔 with masala fish, which was very tasty. Super fish and chips are large fish and chips that can feed two people easily. We still have some leftovers. They do charge extra for Mayonnaise, Tartar sauce, and Chilli sauce, which is probably an MH decision as I feel it should come with the food, and if you need extra, then charge but overall happy and will be coming again.

The food is excellent here i can recommend the fish and chips. I've been here several times over the last few months. The fish is fresh white tasty excellent batter. The chips are excellent aswell. The portions are big and value for money its worth the trip over. Im not local but I am over this way on Sundays and today I came with my mother. Who was equally as impressed as myself. Service is allways very good efficient and friendly aswell.

At last, a place in Kings Heath where you can get Battered Chips. Very reasonable priced at £2.49p. I absolutely love these, albeit very filling. I found the Halloumi sticks rather dry but probably go well with Raita. Spotlessly clean and plenty of seats. Very jolly & friendly staff. Car parking on street or over road at 'Asda'

Great experience. Nice clean environment. Nice chips with haddock fish. Service with a smile. We had the lunch special. Good size. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially lady on counter with scarf. Highly recommended. Thanks.
